Hi! I'm Arvind and I love stories.

I've always loved stories.

Long ones, short ones, funny ones, tearjerkers...

Growing up, I made up all these stories and more.​ It was all fun and games until they told me that I need to get a job. 

So I got myself a job telling stories. 

​

You can call them TVCs, Print Ads, Social Media, Data-Driven-Targeted-Display or whatever you please. But scratch the surface - and they're all stories. And for the last decade, I've enjoyed narrating them. It's brought me joy, praise and more than a handful of awards. 

 

I hope I get to spin these stories forever. Long ones, short ones, funny ones... you get the drift.

EXPERIENCE

 

EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR, BBH INDIA

(2022 - 2024)

Key Accounts  - Garnier, HDFC Ergo, Caratlane, DP World

At BBH, I believe that I really came into my own creatively speaking. Here I found my voice - equal parts old-school storytelling, and technology led. 

This has helped me create some great work like the world's first open source DEI programme for HDFC Ergo, and scannable jewellery for CaratLane.

SR. CREATIVE DIRECTOR, PUBLICIS EMIL

(2019 - 2022)

Key Accounts – Mercedes-Benz, Jeep 

​

At Publicis Emil, I led an integrated team for Mercedes Benz. Emil truly worked as a partner to Mercedes – handling everything from films to real-time social interventions, to creating the brands first digital buying platform in India.

Despite the pandemic slowdown, our efforts helped the brand maintain its leadership position in the luxury car segment.

My team also handled the integrated duties for Mercedes-Benz and Jeep in Sri Lanka.

At Foxymoron – one of India’s top 10 digital creative agencies, I led the creative team in Mumbai in crafting path-breaking digital campaigns for brands across categories as varied as Beauty, Food & Beverages, Fashion, Entertainment, Airlines and BFSI.

 

ADVERTISING CONSULTANT, SELF-EMPLOYED

(2016-2017)

In 2016, I decided to take a break and dedicate some mind-space to personal creative projects including writing and cartooning.  Visit my doodle page for a laugh and a half. 

During this period, I freelanced as a copywriter and digital advertising consultant for brands and agencies. 

 

GROUP HEAD – STRATEGY, PHD INDIA

(2014-2016)
 

Key Accounts: TRESemmé, Surf, Taj Mahal Tea, Frooti

 

As part of the digital strategy specialist team at PHD, I provided creative support in the digital/mobile space to Unilever brands. My key focus area was creating content-led brand experiences.

I also spearheaded the 2015 summer campaign of iconic Indian mango drink, Frooti on social media. This involved leading a dedicated multi-agency team.

These two years that I spent at a media agency have helped give me a more holistic understanding of the advertising landscape.

 

SR. COPYWRITER, DIGITAL DRIFTWOOD

(2010-2014)

As a copywriter at Digital Driftwood, I worked on digital, press, TV, outdoor and BTL solutions for a wide range of brands.

I also worked as a content partner for Yahoo!, MSN and Condé Nast – co-creating branded content properties for  them with brands such as Taj Hotels, Accenture and Steve Madden.
